How to use ChemBAM to engage the public
Welcome to ChemBAM and thank you for taking a look at our resources. Please feel free to use any of the resources on the website in order to engage the public with the relevance of Chemistry. The aim of the ChemBAM project is to increase the visibility of Chemists and to increase the public’s confidence in discussing chemistry and in decision-making on scientific issues.
If you use any of the resources in an engagement activity, please fill in the following survey so that we can evaluate the ChemBAM project and keep improving our resources.

The main part of our team is based at the University of Birmingham (UK) in the School of Chemistry. We run workshops based on the experiments shown on these pages for secondary schools and these pages for primary and below,we also love to work with different community groups of all ages. We prefer to work with small groups or classes (rather than big assemblies) as we think it’s important to get a quality two-way interaction and get to know budding science enthusiasts.
If you would like us to run a workshop please contact Ruth Patchett to request a visit.
